From the very beginning, the Students’ House of Culture has been a place of young and free spirits, of authentic culture, offering young people a high quality alternative to spend their free time.
The Students’ House of Culture is an environment in which the artistic and moral qualities of young students are developed, it is a space for cultural experiments, as well as for the promotion and affirmation of young talents.
The activities of the Students’ Cultural Centre were inaugurated on 10 February 1957 with a programme of music and humour. Between 1957 and 1959, artistic groups and theoretical-practical circles were created: the folklore ensemble, the mixed choir, two theatre groups, the reciters’ circle, the jazz group, the light music group, the modern dance group, the photo circle, the film club, the correspondence circle, the art history courses and the literary circle.
