The “Alexandru Borza” Botanical Garden in Cluj Napoca is the “green spot” of Cluj, about 14 hectares, close to the old city centre.
We recommend you to visit this place because you will be in the middle of nature, in the heart of Cluj. Here you will have the opportunity to see everything from plants and trees specific to the area to palm trees and other tropical plants. It is an ideal place for walking and recreation.
During the summer, newlyweds come here after the civil and religious wedding to take pictures and enjoy the beauties of the garden.
The Botanical Garden in Cluj Napoca is located on Republicii street no. 42, the street that starts from the left of the building “Casa de Cultura a Studentilor” at the intersection with Napoca street. To get to the main entrance you have to walk up Republicii street about 500 m; being situated relatively close to the old city centre it is easy to get here.
There is another entrance from the back of Louis Pasteur street, but it is less used because it is even more difficult to reach.
